Orlando City recently confirmed that striker Alexandre Pato had already signed a one-year deal for the 2022 season.

Pato, who signed for Orlando City in February but fractured his right knee in the club’s 2021 season opener match against Atlanta United, did not really have the financial terms of the agreement divulged by the team.

Owing to the injury, the 32-year-old Brazilian only made four appearances last season.

In an announcement, Orlando general manager Luiz Muzzi stated,

Pato’s ability is proven and we know the untapped potential in what he can bring to our team.

He’s been working hard to return to top form and we’re looking forward to him having an impactful year for the club.

We’re excited for him to return and play an important role both on the field and in the locker room this season.

During earlier spells with AC Milan, Chelsea, Villarreal, and Sao Paulo, he netted 160 goals in 398 matches.
