At the weekend, armed security officers stormed a bandit camp in Kaduna, saving nine people but killing one bandit during the operation.

The police and special security forces invaded the robber’s camp and saved the hostages, according to ASP Mohammed Jalige, a spokesman for the Kaduna Police Command.

According to him

On December 31, 2021, at about 0200hrs, the Kaduna State Police Command, in collaboration with the Force Intelligence Bureau and Special Tactical Squad of the Force Headquarters, Abuja, and some local vigilantes, stormed a notorious bandits’ camp belonging to one Isiya, located in the forest of Sabon Birni village of Igabi LGA of Kaduna state.

It was in response to information that certain individuals were being taken hostage in the jungle for ransom.

He continued by saying

The mission was cautiously and successfully performed, resulting in one bandit being eliminated and many others escaping with varying degrees of bullet wounds.

Two suspects, Rabe Baushe and Badamasi Usman, have been apprehended and put into custody for further investigation.
