A battery report has mentioned Kanye West as a culprit for purportedly hitting a fan who had pleaded for an autograph.

The rapper is being questioned by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) about an encounter that took place in the early hours of Thursday morning in LA.

In a release, the LAPD disclosed that officers responded to a report at 3 a.m.

According to reports, Kanye West yells, “Get away from me!” at a woman who tries to ease him, while the unknown fan lies on the ground holding his head in anguish.

An event occurred at roughly 3 a.m. outside the Soho Warehouse in Downtown LA.

I am your family,” the woman identified as his cousin tells the rapper in the video as she tries to calm him down.

According to witnesses who spoke to TMZ, West struck the fan twice in the head and once in the neck, knocking him out as he banged his head on the floor.

On January 10, the rapper was spotted offering the supposed victim an autograph near Craig’s restaurant.

In photographs Madonna uploaded on Instagram just hours before the purported altercation, the 44-year-old Donda rapper was seen mingling with Madonna, boxer Floyd Mayweather, and actress Julia Fox.

Kanye West and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian are currently divorced, citing irreconcilable differences in their divorce filing.

The incident has drawn no response from Ye or his representatives.
