According to rumors, Cristiano Ronaldo has presented himself to Barcelona because he is unhappy and frustrated at Manchester United.

The Barca center-back Gerard Pique was reported to have approached the Portuguese superstar and urged him to communicate with Xavi about a transfer to the Nou Camp.

According to Mundo Deportivo, his agent Jorge Mendes is now in talks with Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

Ronaldo is convinced that Barcelona is currently in need of a goal scorer. He reportedly called Xavi a few days ago after being connected by his old United teammate,  Pique.

Mendes and Laporta have a decent working relationship, and indeed the two are already considering the move’s possibility.

When they first heard of the transfer of the Real Madrid icon, numerous high-ranking Barcelona executives were believed to assume it was a joke.

Ronaldo is reported to be unhappy at Old Trafford, in spite of the fact that the club is still underperforming amid his goals.

Ralf Rangnick’s techniques are also believed to be unappealing to the 36-year-old.
Pique is said to have communicated Ronaldo’s feelings to Xavi.

According to The Sun, Xavi’s reply was said to be

The goals and experience he can give us, it is unquestionable.

Pique also asked Lionel Messi if his arch-enemy might rent his property from him if Ronaldo joined, in a dramatic twist.

Last year, Cristiano Ronaldo played for Juventus at the Nou Camp. He scored two penalties, giving him a total of 34 goals versus Barcelona throughout his career.
