University of Central Washington is a public institution of higher education located in Ellensburg, Washington. The university, which was founded in 1891, has four parts: the President’s Division, Business, and Financial Affairs, Operations, and Academic and Student Life.
The University of Central Washington is always ranked as the best school in the state for giving its students the best return on their money. Several of Central’s degree programs, like Business, Information Technology and Administrative Management, Music, Writing, and Education, have been recognized for their excellence in national and regional rankings.

CU University provides its students with a variety of services, such as nonremedial tutoring, placement service, daycare, health service, and health insurance. Additional campus safety and security services are provided by CU University. These include 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols; late night transport/escort service; 24-hour emergency telephones; lighted pathways/sidewalks; and controlled dormitory access (key, security card, etc.). At CU University, students who are of legal age are allowed to consume alcoholic beverages.
