UAE confirms 3,068 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, three new deaths

The daily confirmed recovery count was 1,226, with a cumulative total of 758,031 recoveries

According to the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority, 3,068 COVID-19 cases and three additional deaths were confirmed in the UAE over the past 24 hours on Friday (NCEMA).

In the same time span, 424,861 tests were done, bringing the total number of cases to 799,065.

The daily confirmed recovery count was 1,226, with a cumulative total of 758,031 recoveries.

Three more deaths were recorded, taking the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the UAE to 2,185.

The UAE has a population that is 92.8 percent adequately vaccinated, with 22,997,534 doses administered since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, in light of current events, UAE schools and universities are likely to continue remote learning for another week after Coronavirus cases in the country topped the 2,500 daily infection mark.

According to a release from the government organization, all physical exams have been scheduled for January 28, as per reports from the UAE’s official WAM news agency.
